VIRGIN TO PUT UP CHAMPIONSHIP FIGHT
Virgin driver Nathan William has reflected on what happened last season, comparing it to what happened between Senna and Prost and the unfairness of Balestre in the whole matter. Since then Nathan has cut out the negative influences that have had a bad effect on his racing. No wonder since doing this he's had a clean sweep at the opening round from the Hungaroring in Budapest.
Nathan feels as if he's on his best form, he made very few mistakes last round while his competitors were taken out by floundering backmarkers who have lost all of their mediocre pace due to the recent rule change which implies all cars entered must not run Traction Control, or ABS. Thus making his qualifying all that more easier and possible first corner incidents a thing of the near past.
Nathan has spent lots of time working on set-up and through studying other drivers from different Formulas he has recently learnt a new technique which can give him an edge at certain tracks. Nathan describes this as a form of traction control that doesn't exists but does? He doesn't want to delve too deep as it only matters to him. "You have to sacrifice some things in set-up but what it gives honestly makes me laugh, it's fun to drive an F1 car again!"
With two wins under his belt Nathan hopes to take a further two victories in the lone Virgin tonight at Istanbul Park in Turkey.
