Fantastic Third For Phil

While tyres were cold the lone Renault of Phillip Coe was just able to keep up with the top runners but as they (the tyres) heated, car setups started to come into effect and Coe began the usual 'slowly move down the field at the start' race. The only excitement during the race for Coe was the double pitstop during the Safety Car period getting the mandatory tyre change out the way. Renault as a team saw a more exciting race with cars around them slowing exiting the Grand Prix due to Disqualifaction or Crashes. First came relief as the cars trying to chase down Coe were riddled with penalties which eventually put them a lap down. Later on came joy when one of the Force India's was involved in a crash moving Phil up a place into 4th (no disrespect to the Force India Team). The 3rd place then came towards the end of the race when the other Force India was given 60seconds worth of time penalties. Overall, dispite the uneventful race in the cockpit, it was a great weekend for Coe and the Renault Team recieveing their first podium of the year. Hopefully more to come.
