With Bannon, driver of the HRT sidelined because of family issues gave us the rundown of some incidents at the Valencia GP via email from his Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead in Monte Carlo. At the 2nd of 2 DRS Zones around the Valencia GP circuit, 800 million viewers in over 100 countries around the world saw near disastrous incident when Nathan Jeffries (driver of one the Force India’s) attempted to go on the inside of 2 cars battling entering the 2nd DRS zone on the challenging Valencia GP circuit. Jeffries reportedly didn’t see the Lotus Renault GP car, which was in front of the 2 cars battling that he passed and therefore made contact with said Renault car causing the Renault to loose its wing. Then later in the race at the 1st of 2 DRS Zones around the Valencia GP circuit, 800 million viewers of the European GP saw Jeffries take out a Red Bull driven by Kourosh Tehrani, and then Jeffries carried on. Kourosh then made up the lost time (which was 2 seconds), and then tailgated said Force India for 10-15 laps. After several attempts to pass, Kourosh had an opportunity going side by side with Jeffries, into one of the toughest corners to pass on the track, the infamous turn 2. They then made contact and Jeffries dropped back about 1 second. He then continued to loose time to Tehrani. Tehrani would round out the podium at the checkered flag in 3rd for Red Bull Racing while Jeffries finished a position behind in 4th. While not to seem like he forgot about his team he gave an insight on his teammates (Neil “Jaffa Cake” Robinson) race. Neil drove absolutely well. He was smooth throughout the corners and had good use of his KERS. He had great overtakes and brought in 6th for H.R.T (Hispania “Racing” Team.) The total finishing order went as follows:
1. Lewis Goodway (Mercedes GP PETRONAS)
2. Chris “Mouldbillybear” Louth (Force India Mercedes)
3. Kourosh “Rosh 1987” Tehrani (Red Bull Racing)
4. Nathan "Worsel Rummage" Jeffries (Force India Mercedes)
5. Phlz (Lotus Renault GP)
6. Adam “Char” Taylor (Vodafone McLaren Mercedes)
7. Neil “Jaffa Cake Nudist Neil” Robinson (H.R.T.)
8. Norrie “Noddee” Rae (Sauber Ferrari)
9. Mike “ BRT Shawspeed” Davies (Red Bull Racing)
10. Dave “Dimma Dave” DSQ (Vodafone McLaren Mercedes)
