FORCE INDIA DENY DRIVER BUST UP
Force India have today denied that their drivers were involved in a bust up after the Canadian Grand Prix. Approaching the finish line, Nathan Jefferies, who finished in 3rd, ran out of fuel and could do nothing to stop Championship leader Chris Louth breeze past to steal 2nd place just metres before the chequered flag. Jefferies, who himself was chasing down race leader S Perez was reported to be unhappy that Louth was allowed to take 2nd place, but Force India have moved swiftly to deny all reports that Jefferies is looking to move away from the team.
"Both our drivers have contracts with the team and both are more than happy to continue racing for us. It has been clear to see all season that we are one of the few teams who allow our drivers to race wheel to wheel, of course it is just unfortunate in the way that both our drivers swapped positions at Canada. This is racing and these things happen. Team spokesperson, race engineer, cameraman and triple F1 World Champion Dharmesh Shikinder also moved to deny reports that team orders were introduced in the race, slamming the rumours as "codswallop".
